Volume 1 - 1st printing. "No Stars in Brooklyn!" Story and art by Meredith Gran. At 24, Meredith Gran has become the queen of the burgeoning webcomics scene; not only does her webcomic Octopus Pie garner more than 2.5 million hits a month, but she is the founder of the convention Webcomics Weekend. It's because this portrait of twentysomething life in a hip Brooklyn neighborhood is wise, witty, and devastatingly accurate. Octopus Pie shares a fresh, irreverent indie-rock sensibility with comics such as Scott Pilgrim. Softcover, 8-in. x 8-in., 240 pages, PC. Cover price $17.99.
