Charlton responds to the new Comics Code with kid-friendly tales of science fiction, often illustrated by Steve Ditko or other future comics legends. Exposure to radiation mutates a group of men, causing their brains to expand and evolve, in one of several stories in his issue with art by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko. In another Ditko story, a chemical magnate is blackmailed by a mysterious figure who knows how he earned his fortune.
