On the edge of Death Valley, vacationing Ann falls for handsome hotel owner Jack, but their relationship causes friction between Jack and his aging father. Laura considers herself above the immature crushes her college friends develop on their instructors - and then she meets handsome Professor Barton. Working to resettle European war refugees, soldier and lady-killer Joe sets his cap for beautiful Ericka, but she has no interest in him, in a rare story (with art by Bob Powell) narrated by the male character.
