This issue features the classic adventure strip Frankie Doodle by Ben Batsford. Tragedy turns Frankie into an orphan and the heir to a fortune, making him the target of his crooked lawyer, Mr. Shady. Officer O'Toole checks out Eddie's Pool Room, following up on Frankie's tip about the Phantom Burglar. Meanwhile, Mr. Shady tracks down Frankie. But he escapes Mrs. Krule, tyrannical head of the orphanage, thanks to help from his pal, homeless kid Mickey.
