    Marvel Comics Super Special (1977) 41

    Howard the Duck. The official comic book adaptation of the movie that was based in turn on the Steve Gerber comic character. Gerber was not involved in this adaptation. Fittingly, after two full years of adapting box-office flops to comics, the Marvel Super Special series concludes its run with one of the biggest flops of all time. Written by Danny Fingeroth, with art by Kyle Baker, of all people. Story later reprinted in Howard the Duck (1986) #1-3. Full color; 68 pages. Cover price $2.50.
