Stories and art by Bill Holman and Al Posen. An early comic book from Dell, featuring reprinted newspaper comic strips alongside new material. For its last half-dozen issues, Super Comics switches to a 32-page format, with only a handful of its former cartoon stars. This issue features Bill Holman's madcap Smokey Stover. Con men Quincy Quackpott and Fenwick Flooky meet by chance and spend hours catching up, leaving Quincy's leashed cat sinking into wet cement. A fire at a bee farm is a stinging experience for Smokey Stover. Using the new technology of helicopters, Clyde and Chet rescue Chet's brother from the lost Inca city, but then Clyde falls out of the chopper and into the city. Smokey Stover; Spooky; Sweeney & Son; A Gentleman Is Courteous; Clyde Beatty. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
