Story by Del Connell. Art by Al Hubbard. Peter Wheat is the inch-high hero of the Wheat Field, where he lives with his insect friends. The team of writer Del Connell and artist Al Hubbard continued the strip begun by Walt Kelly. Peter and Beetle take the underwater tunnel to the far shore of the Enchanted Lake. But the goblin-like creatures that dwell there are hostile, and take them prisoner. Only a last-minute intervention by Queen Marsha of the mermaids can save them. 16 pages, Full Color.
