Edited by Dez Skinn of Warrior fame, House of Hammer presented comics adaptations and articles based on Hammer Films' legendary horror movies, featuring an array of British comics talent early in their careers. The series starts off with an adaptation of Hammer's first Dracula film, from 1958. The straightforward adaptation of the Bram Stoker classic features a script by Skinn and art by future Marvel artist Paul Neary. Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter returns in an authorized comics sequel to the Hammer adventure film, featuring art by future Judge Dredd and Halo Jones artist Ian Gibson. In a Terror Tales short, a man raises a horde of zombies for revenge against the woman who rejected him - but he chose the wrong zombies. Plus a biography of horror-film legend Christopher Lee, a look at past movie vampires, and the history of movie special effects. Comic book adaptation of 1960 Hammer movie "The Curse of the Werewolf" with gorgeous art by John Bolton (script by Steve Moore). Articles on Boris Karloff's Frankenstein, The Conqueror Worm, Curse of the Werewolf, storyboards from Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, part one of the history of Hammer Films, and a George Romero interview. Also a three-page comic story, "Van Helsing's Terror Tales: A Spot of Blood" (script by Donne Avenell, art by Patrick Wright).
