Index reviewers and contributors include Mark Gruenwald, George Olshevsky, Peter Sanderson, and Murray Ward. Cover by Ray Lago. The wraparound cover portrays the silver age Avengers including the original five and Rick Jones. Also depicted on the cover are long-time villains such as Baron Zemo, Kang, Loki, and Ultron. The front inside cover contains an essay from Murray Ward describing the format of the index. The back inside cover features a character cross-index by Ronald Bialkowski. (Notes: This is the second Avengers Index published by Marvel. The first one was published in 1987 in square bound binding, but only covered up to issue 145.
