Cover by Ernie Bushmiller. Stories and art by Ernie Bushmiller, Charles Schulz, Al Capp, Sam Leff, Henning Mikkelsen, and Elsie Hix. Tip-Topper Comics collected some of United Features Syndicates most popular comic strips of the 1940s in full color, including Lil Abner and Fritzi Ritz. Fritzi was later known as "Aunt Fritzi" in the Nancy comic strip. Fritzi and Phil have a picnic encounter with some hungry hobos. One of the backup strips in the comic is Charles Schulz's Peanuts, then only in its fourth year; 2 daily and 2 Sunday strips are presented in full color. Snoopy earns a spot on the kids' baseball team when he tags Charlie Brown "out." It's Sadie Hawkins Day, in a Li'l Abner storyline with an "Orson Wells" cameo.
