Farmers and settlers alike are threatened when wolf packs overrun the town, but Tom suspects the wolf-hunters are involved somehow. The town captures the bandit who's been robbing ranchers, but Tom suspects they've got the wrong man. Tom realizes a showboat is a cover for cattle rustlers, leading to a daring cliffside leap to catch the escaping boat. Plus a vintage ad for the Tom Mix radio show and Tom Mix glow-in-the-dark spurs! #13 "Tom Mix Battles the Flames." Inside is a text story (with illustrations), 2-3/8 x 2-3/4 in.; black and white; 8 pages. Promotional Tom Mix comic booklet distributed as a premium in 1934 by the National Chicle Company. These booklets were issued in a wrapper with a piece of gum and are rare in any condition.
