Stories and art by Carl Pfeufer and others. Silent-movie cowboy Tom Mix became a pop-culture icon with his 1940s radio show and this tie-in comic. The Dexter Brothers recruit a new gang by starting a barroom brawl in the Black Cat Tavern, in a story featuring some hilarious "1960s Batman"-style fight scenes. In the second part of a two-part story, a blow to the head gives Tom amnesia, and he is recruited into the Dexter Brothers Gang. In another story, a mysterious figure with a walrus mustache wants the famous landscape painting by artist "Al Fresco" that is on loan to Dobie's art museum.
