    Superior Set No. 4077 by SMECo (Superior Making Equipment Company). The printing box set is not dated and estimated mid 1930's. A three panel cartoon appears on the front of the box featuring Dick Tracy, Little Orphan Annie, and others discussing going to the circus. The interior contents include a "Printing With Rubber" brief instruction guide explaining the basic steps for making signs and posters, setting type, printing pictures, and making "funnies", a blank pad for stamping, an ink pad for rubber stamps inside a tin box, 2 grooved wood blocks, 24? rubber stamps with letters (some of the letters commonly used together to make words are doubled, for example "gh" are on the same stamp), plus 9 character rubber stamps. The character stamps feature Dick Tracy, B. O. Plenty, Smitty, Annie and Sandy, Herby and Scrappy, Chief Brandon, and other popular characters appearing in the Favorite Funnies comic strips.
