This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

1965's Argosy Comic Book Price Guide is the first known comic-book price guide. Issued by the Argosy Bookshop in Hollywood, California but insisting it is NOT a catalog, the Argosy Guide precedes the first Overstreet guide by five years. A piece of comics history, it represents a key moment in the establishment of a collector's market for vintage comic books. To give a few examples: Action Comics #1 is listed at $100.00 in mint condition, and Amazing Fantasy #15 (published three years prior) is listed at $5.00! Less than fifty copies of the Argosy Guide are known to exist. 8 1/2-in. x 5 1/2-in., B&W, 40 pages. Cover price $5.00.
