Written by Harlan Ellison. Art by Eric Shanower. Cover by Ron Brown. "Some years ago I was approached by the distinguished sf author Barry Malzberg and the editor of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Edward Ferman, to contribute a new story to "the ultimate science fiction anthology," Final Stage. It was to be a collection of stories that were the final word, the absolute envelope-straining outer limit on a variety of themes: the ultimate time-travel story, the ultimate robot story, the ultimate alien-invasion story. And like that. Barry and Ed assigned me the task of writing "the ultimate science fiction sex story." I wrote "Catman." Was it as dramatic as the editors desired? When the book was reprinted in Italy, Spain, Germany, Japan, and half a dozen other countries, the only story the overseas publishers would not include, at risk of being a deal-breaker, was "Catman." In two parts, adapted by the brilliant Peter David of Hulk, Star Trek, Sachs & Violens, and Aquaman fame, exquisitely and mature-adultly painted in full glowing living color by Mike Deodato, Jr. (Wonder Woman, et al), this is my "Catman" brought pulsing from the mind's eye to the printed page. Part two is in this issue, along with "How's the Night Life on Cissalda?", which has been rendered in adaptation by Faye Perozich -- who had three scripts in our Special -- and painted by the astonishing artist Eric White, whose covers have been seen on Time, GQ, and Playgirl. Of this story, Truman Capote said, "Ooh, I love it; what a nasty, dirty little story!" This is, of course, our demented sexual orgy issue. Fun for the entire family. (And, as usual, the usual interstitial pages created by me, Harlan, and rendered by him, Eric Shanower.) The usual new story, written this time around a knockout Ron Brown sorta kinda Sinbad-battling-the-roc cover. And the first installment of our new letter column, imaginatively titled "A Letter Column," wherein fools will be upbraided in effusive and elegant prose. Can such wonders be? Can one afford to miss it? I bloody well think not." -- Harlan Ellison 32 pages, FC. Cover price $2.95.

Written by Harlan Ellison. Art by Eric Shanower. Cover by Terese Neilsen. Only fools try to outsmart tidal waves. No matter how worthy you imagine yourself to be, no matter how deeply you believe in your cause, Oscar Wilde was right when he observed, "A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it." We believed, as we still believe, that Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor is what comics were created to aspire to: A classy and entertaining anthology filled with stories that can roll your socks up and down your ankles, adapted by the very best writers and illustrators in the business. From Peter David and David Lapham to Mike Deodato and John Byrne, every issue of Dream Corridor came at you with the delightful, memorable, and unexpected. Then the debacle happened. The market went up in flames and down in ashes. Mad, costumed trivia tore out its guts with both hands and ate its own innards. We chose to climb to the cool peaks and look down on the lunacy. Now the foolish fads and crossovers have subsided for a time, and Dream Corridor is back. Larger, in a 64-page, quarterly format, but without alteration in what you adored. 64 pages, FC. By HARLAN ELLISON, ERIC SHANOWER & VARIOUS. Cover by STEPHEN HICKMAN. The vicious dictator of a future world seeks refuge in the prehistoric past; a fast-gun sheriff refuses to lay up his weapon when his days of power are ended; sharp, small teeth horribly show what can happen to a stoolie; the giant body of a cyclopean Prometheus is uncovered in an apple orchard when lightning strikes; and in the year 2074, a consumer upgrades his mutant housebeast for this year's model. These are a few of the things Harlan Ellison dreams about; these are a few of the things that will chew on your soul. HARLAN ELLISON'S DREAM CORRIDOR sets a new standard for anthology comics, and would you expect anything less from a comic that boasts Harlan's name on the cover? He's written more than 60 books and over 1,700 short stories, essays, non-fiction articles, columns, film and television scripts, which have won him more awards for imaginative literature than any other living author (8 1/2 Hugos, 3 Nebulas, 2 Edgar Allan Poe awards of the Mystery Writers of America, 3 Bram Stoker awards of the Horror Writers of America, 2 World Fantasy Awards, the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award, the British Fantasy Award, and 4 Most Outstanding Teleplay Awards from the Hollywood Writers Guild of America...and he's the only writer ever to win 4 for solo work). And that's just the tip of the iceberg...or the snout of the beast! Front cover art by Steven Hickman. Regular edition and 1st printing (2nd printings exist). Cover price $4.95.

Volume 1 - 2nd or later printing. "The Lost Hero!" Written by Rick Riordan and Robert Venditti. Art and cover by Nate Powell. Jason has a problem. He doesn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she's his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they're all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for "bad kids." Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all - including Leo - related to a god. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 192 pages, full color. Cover price $12.99.

Volume 2 - 1st printing. "Son of Neptune!" Based on the story by Rick Riordan. Adapted by Robert Venditti. Art by Antoine Dode and Orpheus Collar. Cover by Antoine Dodé. Percy is confused. When he awoke after his long sleep, he didn't know much more than his name. His brain-fuzz is lingering, even after the wolf Lupa told him he is a demigod and trained him to fight. Somehow Percy manages to make it to the camp for half-bloods, despite the fact that he had to continually kill monsters that, annoyingly, would not stay dead. But the camp doesn't ring any bells with him. Hazel is supposed to be dead. When she lived before, she didn't do a very good job of it. When the Voice took over her mother and commanded Hazel to use her "gift" for an evil purpose, Hazel couldn't say no. Now, because of her mistake, the future of the world is at risk. Frank is a klutz. His grandmother claims he is descended from ancient heroes and can be anything he wants to be, but he doesn't see it. He doesn't even know who his father is. He keeps hoping Apollo will claim him, because the only thing he is good at is archery-although not good enough to help the Fifth Cohort win at war games. His big and bulky physique makes him feel like a clumsy ox, especially in front of Hazel, his closest friend at camp. He trusts her completely-enough, even, to share the secret he holds close to his heart. Featuring a faithful adaptation by Robert Venditti, and incredible artwork by Antoine Dodé and Orpheus Collar, Rick Riordan's blockbuster book comes to life in The Son of Neptune, The Graphic Novel. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 192 pages, full color. Cover price $12.99.

You will also find several other themes, such as the link between science fiction figures and cinema, radio, TV, comics, and more. Hardcover, 560 pages, full color. Cover price $59.95.

Volume 1 - 1st printing. Based on the Story by Ilona Andrews. Adapted by ChrossxXxRodes. Art and cover by Shinju Ageha. On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian bed and breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor. Her biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast. But Dina is... different: Her broom is a deadly weapon, and her inn is magic. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can't leave the grounds because she's responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. And now, something with wicked claws and deepwater teeth has begun to hunt at night. Before long, Dina has to juggle dealing with the annoyingly attractive ex-military new neighbor, Sean Evans-an alpha-strain werewolf-and the equally arresting cosmic vampire soldier, Arland, while trying to keep her inn and its guests safe. But the enemy she's facing is unlike anything she's ever encountered before, and putting herself between this creature and her neighbors might just cost her everything. Softcover, 6-in. x 9-in., 320 pages, full color. Cover price $18.99.
