Tony Stark and the Fantastic Four are escorting Air Force One back to the United States when a group of strange flying men attack the plane! However the mysterious Praxis agents don't want to harm the president, they just want a special artifact that's on board: the golden apple! But the apple is destroyed during the airborne mêlée. And then the FF and Shell-Head have a much bigger problem -- Air Force One is going down! Thankfully though, brilliant teamwork saves the plane! So Reed, Sue, Ben, and Johnny can move onto to the next crisis: a 100-foot tall wooden creature standing in the East River! Wow! Suddenly, Doctor Strange appears and tells the heroes that the manifestation of the creature (aka the Harbinger of the Everlasting Winter) signals a dire situation at hand! The golden apple from Air Force One was sliced into eight pieces and sent backward in time. And to prevent a global catastrophe, each member of the FF must treacherously travel into his or her past and find one of the slices! Good luck to the Fantastic Four! Cameo appearances by Queen Knorda, Loki (in disguise), and Franklin Richards. Flashback cameos by Agatha Harkness, Medusa, and the Wizard. Cover by Dan Jurgens and Bob McLeod. Story continues from Domination Factor Avengers #3.6. The Fantastic Four and the Avengers are back in New York City, but it's not the NYC that they left! The city has been transformed into a futuristic Praxis paradise courtesy of Loki and the golden apple. However that's not all Loki the Trickster has done. He's restored Queen Knorda's youth and appointed her the ruler of Midgard. The assembled heroes desperately want to reverse the effects of the golden apple! But before they can do that, the FF and the Avengers must reunite their astral selves with their bodies in this recast world. It sounds simple. However they have to find their recast bodies first! Story concludes in Domination Factor Avengers #4.8. Avengers Lineup: Captain America, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, and the Vision. (Note: Jerry Ordway is credited as a co-plotter of the series.
