Spinning out of the pages of Reign of the Supermen, witness the rise of John Henry Irons from humble engineer to soaring superhero in this 30-year retrospective! In the aftermath of Supermans death, former steelworker and weapons designer John Henry Irons felt compelled to honor the fallen hero by doing his part to protect Metropolis. Pairing his blacksmith skills with his brilliant engineering mind, John Henry forged a super-powered suit of armor and emerged as a new contender for the mantle of the Man of Steel. Despite taking inspiration from Superman, Steel set himself apart from other Supermen by pairing his enhanced strength with amazing resourcefulness, preferring to solve problems with his mind instead of his sledgehammer. This earned him the respect of the hero he admired and the rest of the Justice League, who grew to value Steel as a reliable and trustworthy ally. STEEL: A CELEBRATION OF 30 YEARS covers three decades of John Henry Irons adventures in the DC Universe, featuring stories from some of the comics industry's greatest storytellers. This anniversary volume also includes retrospective essays from Steel creators Louise Simonson and Jon Bogdanove, as well as acclaimed scribe Christopher Priest. Hardcover, 328 pages, full color. Ages 13+ Cover price $39.99.

Steel--and his company, Steelworks...and who possesses secrets that could undo everything John has worked so hard to build? While John's professional life is firing on all cylinders, his personal life is even better, as his on-again, off-again relationship with Lana Lang might be back on, permanently. Now he must decide whether it's time to give up being Steel once and for all. But does John even know who he would be without his superhero identity? How does the other Steel--John's niece, Natasha Irons--feel about his momentous decision? And does any of that matter if Steelworks crumbles around him when he lacks the superpowers to fight back? Stuporman (1967 Topps) Superman Parody 1
    • Consignment. 3% buyer's premium charged at checkout. Graded by MCS, not consignor.

Krazy Little Comics (1967 Topps): Stuporman is one of sixteen parody mini-comics originally produced as test market items in 1967, by the Topps Chewing Gum Company. They did not see full national distribution. All were written by Roy Thomas and feature Wally Wood cover and interior art. These minis spoof not only Marvel and DC super-heroes, but other comic characters as well, like the Phantom, Prince Valiant, and Tarzan. These possibly predate, or are at least contemporaneous with, Not Brand Ecch! #1 (08/1967), and are among the rarest of the Merry Marvel Marching Society era items. Full color, 2.5-in. x 3.5-in., no cover price.
