DOOM! A great page from this miniseries that 'remixed' the classic FF storyline where Doom stole the Power Cosmic from Silver Surfer. Here we see the souped up Doom confronting the FF in their hometown of New York. Having already dispatched the Human Torch, Doom faces the The Thing and simply...snaps his arm off. It's a simple scene which in many ways enhances the horror of what Doom does. Velluto and Geiger are a great team, filling the page with a liveliness and sense of motion. Energetic, lively, and bold pencils from vet Pelletier and the centerpiece image of Wonder Woman singlehandedly stopping a cave-in is fantastic. Signed by the artist in lower left. An Incredible double page spread from two masters of comic art signals the official start of World War Hulk! After quickly dispatching Black Bolt on the moon and sending a message to earth demanding the presence of the Illuminati who shot him into space, it's time smash! Iron Man, clad in his Hulkbuster armor, and the Hulk collide in midair, sending shockwaves through New York City as some of the world's most powerful heroes cower in fear. The art is absolutely stunning in its original form, especially the care and detail put into the shockwaves in the central image. Pencil and ink on two sheets of Marvel Comics art board affixed to each other on the reverse with masking tape. 22" x 17 1/4".

Original Art Unpublished Detective Comics Cover by Bo and Scott Hampton

A beautiful, richly textured piece from the brothers Hampton that sadly did not see print! Likely intended for a story involving Poison Ivy, the Hamptons do a brilliant job of contrasting the iconic figure of the Batman, typically found in concrete jungles, with the all-consuming and ever cycling growth of plant life. Signed by the artists in lower right margin. Also included is a letter of authenticity from Bo Hampton indicating the provenance of the piece. The original buyer's name has been redacted from the letter by MyComicShop at their request. Pencil and ink on DC Comics art board. 11" x 17".

It's a bold, powerful piece from Hairsine beautifully capturing the emotions behind the punches! Also included are a pencil prelim sketch and the finished pencils giving a fantastic look at Hairsine's process.
