Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted classic Dick Tracy comic strips from 1936. Dick Tracy in "Smashes the Bombing Racket" is story #6 of what was supposed to be a series of 30 Buck Jones Adventures sold only with Big Thrill Chewing Gum as an insert. However, we believe only 6 stories were actually printed. 8 pages with 3 pages in color and 5 in black and white, 2-7/8-in. x 2-3/8-in. Copyrighted in 1934 by Chester Gould and The Goudy Gum Co., Boston. (See also Buck Jones, Buck Rogers and Tailspin Tommy.)
