Stories and art by Bob Powell and John Martin. This early romance comic from Fawcett had particularly complex plots to go with the tears and kisses. Lila, who craves a rich husband, enters a gothic-romance scenario when she goes to work for wealthy Scott. He is caring for his invalid wife and Lila begins to fall for him, until she learns that all is not as it seems. In a story with art by Bob Powell, Dot and her hated rival Fern are stranded on a raft at sea after a plane crash. Car thief and ex-con Carol finds love with her roommate's brother Dan, but is it enough to keep her from returning to her life of crime? Not your typical romance-comic story. The Gold-Plated Heart; Test of Courage; Love Under Construction; Second Life. 32 pages, Full Color. Cover price $0.10.
