Technical Manual portfolio for the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea TV show, published in 1993. Written and designed by Frederick Barr. Contents are enclosed in a glossy portfolio enclosing blueprints and a technical manual. The manual has a centerfold of the Nelson Institute for Marine Research base, introduction by Admiral Nelson, a brief history of the Seaview, an overview of the Federal Bureau of Marine Exploration, evolution and technical overview of the Seaview, Flying Sub and Mini-Sub. The main attraction of the portfolio is the well-drawn, highly detailed blueprints of the Seaview submarine and its attendant support craft including the Flying Sub, Control Room, different views of the Seaview, Missile Room, Conning Tower and so much more. Five of the blueprints measure approximately 25-in x 18-in. and the other ten fold out to 11-in. x 17-in. This is quite simply bliss for the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea fan! Portfolio enclosure measures 9-in. x 12-in., 40-page manual with 15 folded prints, black and white manual, blueprints in blue tones.

1st printing. By Jennifer Lynch. Foreword by TWIN PEAKS co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost. Laura Palmer was introduced to television audiences in the opening scenes of "Twin Peaks"--as a beautiful dead girl, wrapped in plastic. Now available in print for the first time in many years, THE SECRET DIARY OF LAURA PALMER chronicles Laura's life from age 12 to her death at 17, and is filled with secrets, character references, and even clues to the identity of her eventual killer. Fans of the show will love seeing their favorite characters again, and Laura's diary makes compelling reading as she turns from a naive freshman having her first kiss to a "bad girl" experimenting with drugs, sex and the occult. "As seen by" Jennifer Lynch, creator David Lynch's daughter, THE SECRET DIARY OF LAURA PALMER is authentic, creepy, and a perfect book for anyone who loves supernatural suspense. Softcover, 5 1/2-in. x 8-in., 192 pages, Text Only. Cover price $12.00.

Cover featuring Mal by John Cassaday - JOSS WHEDON (W), BRETT MATTHEWS (W), WILL CONRAD (P), and LAURA MARTIN (c) On sale July 6, FC, 32pg, $2.99. This fall Joss Whedon, creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and scribe of Marvel's Astonishing X-Men, makes his big-screen debut as writer/director with Serenity, the big- budget feature follow-up to his cult-hit TV show Firefly?the story of a ship full of mercenaries, outlaws, fugitives, and one law-abiding prostitute running across the fringes of space. Now Whedon pens a three issue miniseries based on the film with Brett Matthews, whose previous credits include Spider-man specials with Daredevil and Wolverine, episodes of TV's Firefly, an Angel miniseries, and the animated Chronicles of Riddick feature "Dark Fury. " The crew of Serenity once again find themselves broke and on the wrong side of a number of very large firearms, making the first issue a case study in how to mix intense, Whedon-style character interaction with cinematic action and violence. Artist Will Conrad and colorist Laura Martin paint a rough and wild world of adventure across a strange and dangerous universe. Each issue of this series features three covers, one for each member of the Serenity crew, drawn by the biggest names in comics. Issue #1 features Mal by John Cassaday, Inara by J. G. Jones, and Jayne by Bryan Hitch. Cover price $2.99.
