Life With Snarky Parker No.1 (1950) is a very early CBS TV comic with a photo cover from TV show. Deputy Sheriff Snarky Parker lived in the town of Hot Rock during the 1850s. Heathcliffe, his talking horse, helped Snarky battle such villains as Ronald Rodent. The puppets were the creations of puppeteers Bil (just one L) and Cora Baird. Cover price $0.10.

Lil Abner Herald (1956) is a promotional item produced by the National Screen Service. This Herald promotes the movie Lil Abner starring Bob Hope. These heralds were sent out weeks before the openings of movies as promotional items to be given out to the movie goer. 1 page, full color comic strip on front with promotional text on the back, 9.5-in x 12-in.
