Every Saturday, Pawcasso trots into town with a basket, a shopping list, and cash in paw to buy groceries for his family. One day, he passes eleven-year-old Jo, peering out the window of her house, bored and lonely. Astonished by the sight of an adorable basket-toting dog on his own, Jo follows Pawcasso, and when she's seen alongside him by a group of kids from her school, they mistake her for Pawcasso's owner. Excited to make new friends, Jo reluctantly hides the truth and agrees to let "her" dog model for an art class the kids attend.

Volume 1 - 2nd and later printings. "Puppy Problems!"

Story and art by Paige Braddock.

Crackers is a rescue dog who's a bit on the nervous side, but pretty comfy at home with Butter, a very plump cat who, like all cats, is all about himself. The two pets have a good life: big backyard, nice couch, good eats, and an owner who goes to work every day so they can pretty much do what they want.

Enter Peanut, a brand-new puppy with big floppy ears, unabashed energy, and no appreciation for the quiet life. The little dog is a chowhound who dips into everybody's food bowl. He drools, he chews up stuff, he doesn't get how stairs work, and he's afraid of the dark. Butter and Crackers have had it!

This puppy has to go! But when the backyard gate is left open (the cat's idea, of course!) and Peanut wanders out and gets lost, the older animals remember what it was like to be alone lonely. Butter and Crackers to the rescue!

    Softcover, 5 1/2-in. x 8-in., 96 pages, full color.

    Cover price $7.99.

Story and art by Paige Braddock.

Floppy-eared Peanut is off to doggy school to learn how to be a good dog! Sure, he's excited, but when he gets separated from Crackers, he quickly realizes that he has to fend for himself. Five minutes in and he's already the new target of the Pint-Sized Pack, the bullies of the Little Dogs group. He knows that Crackers and Butter can't help him, so what use is there in telling them he feels alone without his family?
