It's a "bad hair day" of no small proportions for the Main Man when a pair of evil bastiches catch him with his guard down in LOBO: IN THE CHAIR, a twisted and irreverent one-shot. Lobo's spent a couple of months in the galactic outback, scrounging on a horrible planet where he's been bounty-hunting a tribe of bad guys. Now he's back home, accompanied by an overflowing cartload of dead bodies, and ready to collect his loot. He's so glad to be back that he's only a little upset that he got everybody he was looking for except the Winter Brothers, a pair of mooks he'll have to track down later. The trouble is, after all that hard work, the Main Man stinks. He's dirty, sweaty and in need of a good clean-up. So it's off to the barber shop. But who should come crawling out of the woodwork but the aforesaid Winter Brothers, who seize the opportunity to exact revenge...and do things that are too horrible to contemplate, both to Lobo...and his hair. Written by Alan Grant, with art and painted cover by Martin Emond. New Format. Cover price $1.95.

When the trail leads the Main Man to Earth, the mask has been donned by a small time thug named Ira, resulting in a chaotic fight that completely destroys New York City. And that's just the set-up. Written by Alan Grant and John Arcudi. Art by Doug Mahnke and Keith Williams. Cover by Doug Mahnke. FC, 48 pg. Prestige Format. Cover price $5.95.

DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics present a conclusion to this team-up that's so absolutely hilarious we're gonna tell you exactly what happens and it won't spoil a thing! In issue #2, Lobo and the Mask begin their intergalactic quest to find the Ultimate Bastich. But whenever the Main Man gets close, the Mask screws things up for him at every turn. Eventually, they fall into a Black Hole, go back in time, find a version of Lobo before he met the Mask, and abuse the hell out of him. This works just fine until Lobo actually puts on the Mask at which point the violent absurdity goes off the fraggin' scale! More rollicking good fun! Written by Alan Grant and John Arcudi. Lobo goes on a rampage and an innocent bystander lands in the hospital. So what else is new?! It may be business as usual for Lobo, but not for John Doe, the Main Man's aforementioned innocent victim and the subject of LOBO: PORTRAIT OF A VICTIM. The hilarity begins as Doe has a typical bad day at home with the family and decides to go out with his buds for a beer. Unluckily for him, Lobo was meeting his date in the same sleazy bar. What happens next is a healthy dose of Lobo-style fraggin' fun - ultraviolent, extraraucous and semifatal for that poor sap, John Doe. Written by Alan Grant, with art by Val Semeiks and John Dell. Painted cover by Glenn Fabry. New Format. Cover price $1.75.

Lobo has just accidentally partied himself to death...but that doesn't mean the end of the Main Man from Czarnia - not when some twisted corporate scientists decide that he'd be the perfect subject for a sick experiment to create the ultimate police officer. Salvaging Lobo's deranged brain for placement in a robot body, the Last Czarnian becomes...LOBOCOP. What follows is a hysterical look at Lobo's approach to law enforcement, with a universe full of both perpetrators and innocent bystanders subjected to Lobocop's oh, so subtle way of dispensing justice. And when he hits the street, he's one mean robotic cop who's stoked to carry out his prime directive to frag all crims! Written by Alan Grant, with art and cover by Martin Emond, and computer coloring by Digital Chameleon. Glossy Format. Cover price $1.95.
