Adlard has also worked on comics including 2000AD, Mars Attacks, The X-Files, Judge Dredd, and X-Men, while The Walking Dead comics, which have recently come to an end, spawned the global smash series on AMC. His tenure as UK Comics Laureate ended earlier in 2019, taken over by Hannah Berry.

This is the promotional manual/survival guide for a custom-made "zombie-proofed" Hyundai Elantra designed by Robert Kirkman and displayed at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. Including zombie artwork by Charlie Adlard and Matthew Roberts, the manual was limited to around 500 copies distributed exclusively at SDCC 2012. The Hyundai Undead program celebrated the release of the 100th issue of The Walking Dead comic.

Set in the expansive world of Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead series, three different people in China - a rural farmer, an urban military veteran, and a Chinese American grad student - are caught in the typhoon of undead walkers as the virus sweeps over the most populous country in Asia. What remains of the Chinese government has estimated that one billion walkers (called jiangshi) are currently roaming the country, and large groups of survivors have clustered together for safety in settlements that have been built vertically as a means of protection.
A veritable typhoon of walkers is headed towards a settlement. With time running out and the stakes higher than anyone can imagine, these three survivors must figure out how to live with the overwhelming odds against them.
