There's been much discourse about the 9-panel grid format over the last several years, but it rarely centers around how well it can work for fight scenes- when you've got artists of this caliber drawing it, of course! Only the second issue after Pete returns from Battleworld with a snazzy new costume, Spidey and Black Cat get a chance to really test it out against The Blob! Wonderful blocking and figure work from Milgrom make for a thrilling page as the two black-clad heroes leap and bound around the massive mutant before Pete's newfound confidence (or arrogance...) in taking on the villain causes a misstep that puts Felicia in harm's way. Signed by Mooney in lower left margin. Pencil and ink on Marvel Comics art board. 11" x 16 1/2".
