1st printing. Milt Gross was an American cartoonist and animator. His work is noted for its exaggerated cartoon style and Yiddish-inflected English dialogue. He originated the non-sequitur "Banana Oil!" as a phrase deflating pomposity and posing. His character Count Screwloose's admonition, "Iggy, keep an eye on me!", became a national catch phrase. Gross extended the work he did in Nize Baby in Dunt Esk!! The same characters and themes appear with a few changes. You will see the Feitlebaums and the Yifnifs, Looy dot dope and Isidore. He takes more risks in this book and deals with the typical immigrant experiences that come out of living in the US with a non-native American accent. Hardcover, 235 pages, 5 x 7 1/2-in., Text.
