Detectives Mack and Brady try to take down "Slots" Benedict, who runs all the slot machines in the City. A cop takes to the skies, in a story written when police helicopters, as well as helicopters in general, were still a new concept, with a Kirby splash page. Charlton picks up the crime series created and originally published by comics legends Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, creators of Captain America. All the stories in this issue were illustrated by Jack Kirby. An inexperienced city cop investigates a murder in the country, but first he must convince the locals that he's a real cop. A cop must decide whether to turn in the criminal who saved the cop's son from a runaway bus (in a typically taut Kirby action sequence).
