As the social tide turns against horror comics, Harvey renames Tomb of Terror to this less-horrific title, but continues with grisly stories reprinted from Witches' Tales. In one of the most egregious examples, a cruel Caribbean governor executes criminals by having them eaten alive by crabs. A couple purchases a grotesque statue in a curio shop that curses them to destroy each other. A men's club doesn't expect the Devil himself to show up at their weekly seance. A ghost awakens to resume his old life with a murder, but doesn't reckon on the murder victim's ghost returning as well. Scientists discover something living deep beneath the Earth's crust - something evil. Puppeteers buy strangely lifelike puppets from an odd little man. This issue features reprints of the Simon and Kirby character Stuntman from 1946. The origin of Stuntman, as Stuntman seeks the truth about deadly circus "accidents." Stuntman infiltrates the Chalker Rest Home to rescue Don and Sandra and finds a crazed fairy-tale world, in a story that opens with a justifiably famous two-page Simon and Kirby spread. This issue features reprints of the Simon and Kirby character Stuntman from 1946, and even these have been purged of violent content, just to be on the safe side. Stuntman tries to protect Don and Sandra from a faceless killer who stalks the theater from behind the scenes. Danger on the set of a Robin Hood film gives Simon and Kirby the excuse to combine knights and pageantry with superhero action, featuring another great opening two-page spread.
