    Hardcover Edition with Dust Jacket. "Story and Illustrations by Staff of Walt Disney Studios. This is considered the very first mass-market Mickey Mouse book (other than a small-press book printed with a limited run in 1930). A few years before it was a pioneering comics publisher, David McKay presented this, among the first wave of licensed Disney products. Also noteworthy as containing the first mention of a character named "Donald Duck," this copy includes the very scarce dust jacket. Mickey wants to throw a party for his friends on the farm (including Carolyn Cow and Henry Horse, later known as Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar). The first licensed Disney books and magazines came out in 1930, and the first Big Little Books featuring Mickey did not come out until 1933. This book features a great original story in which Mickey has to get Claws the Cat out of the way before a party can be held on the farm.
