    1st Printing. Lou Fine (1914-1971) is acknowledged as one of the masters of illustration during the Golden Age of comics in the 1940s and early 1950's. His lines and eye for composition have been largely hidden from the modern reader and collector, because many of the original comics in which his work appeared are extremely expensive today, and out of reach of most. His short-live series, THE RAY, appearing in Smash Comics, is considered a masterpiece ---- and now is available in one volume, in full-color, as part of Calumet History and Hobby's reprint line!
