1st printing. Frank Quitely still has all of his old sketchbooks, he never throws anything away. During the curation process of his Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery exhibition, Frank's studio was turned upside down. Decades of sketches and notes were uncovered to go on display for the biggest showcase of his work to date. A selection of these, with descriptions and brief commentaries, are presented in this book. Drawings + Sketches is a chance for fans to delve through the pages of Frank's private sketchbooks and see how some of the most iconic scenes in contemporary comics began. Selecting his favourite behind-the-scenes moments from titles like WE3, Pax Americana and Jupiter's Legacy - as well as a handful of previously unseen miscellaneous work - this is a rare insight into the inner workings of one of the world's most prolific comic book artists. Hardcover, 5-1/4" x 8", 124 pages, PC/PB&W. Cover price $26.99.
