Pepper GN (2026 TOON Books) comic books

1st printing. Story and art by Karl Stevens. A standalone sequel to the popular graphic memoir, Penny, this vivid graphic novel centers on housecat heroine Penny's relationship with her sister, Pepper—and the delicately solipsistic inner world they share with each other. As she is prone to do, Penny the housecat spends her days lazing around the apartment and musing philosophically. However, her peace is rudely disturbed when she is forced to contend with the existence of her little sister, Pepper. What follows is one part wry, immaculately watercolored cat gags, one part visionquest. Here, acclaimed graphic novelist Karl Stevens blends the quotidian life of a housecat with an epicly psychedelic journey of self-discovery and the profound art of making peace with yourself. Softcover, 7-in.x 8-in., 128 pages, full color. NOTE: "Penny and Pepper are two cats that I am so glad Ive gotten to know. Beautiful art, great stories by the brilliant Karl Stevens. Funny and sad and deeply engaging." —Roz Chast Cover price $19.99.
