Peter Parker travels to Florida for a photo story on the mysterious Man-Thing. Before departing on his trip though, Peter calls his long-time friend and current sunshine state resident, Dr. Curt Connors, and asks for his assistance in locating the powerful swamp creature. Later on when the web-slinger arrives in Florida, he finds a creature of the swamp all right; but it's not the Man-Thing ? it's the Lizard!
