Crocker uses stolen money to frame Ken for Gunsmoke's crimes, then tries to burn down the jail with Ken in it. Jeeter has a talking horse, Ya-Ta-Ta, but the horse only wants to insult people, and worse than that, he's smarter than the cowboys around him. Sometimes the opening caption says it best: "Many are the fabled outlaws...but none was so cunning and elusive as the ruthless desert bandit Gopher Graham!" Monte Hale investigates a series of killings by "Billy the Hangman," and learns it's a vendetta against the perpetrators of a long-ago murder. Gabby Hayes winds up trapped between outlaw Grizzly Gus and an actual grizzly, but luckily, he has cookies containing horse tranquilizers. Plus a profusion of vintage comics-format ads, including a hair-cream ad featuring detective Sam Spade, and a Tootsie Roll ad, Captain Tootsie Traps Killer Bear with Invisible Light, by Shazam co-creator CC Beck and Pete Costanza.
