Although Philippe became regent, the followers of his rival did not remain idle. A young man, Raoul d'Harmental, was committed to kidnap the regent until, by strange action of fate, Raoul's very life depended upon the man he was to have kidnapped. Cover price $0.15.

Mr. Bensington and Professor Redwood invented it between them and in their first enthusiasm called it the Food of the Gods. It was in every way a most remarkable substance, for it was to produce a new race of men. Normal people were frightened to discover wasps as big a barn owls, creeping plants as tall as pine trees and rats as big as horses. But the serious trouble began with the children raised on the Food of the Gods. Cover price $0.15.
