"Out Of The Holocaust--a Hero!", script by Roy Thomas, pencils by Gene Colan, inks by Vince Colletta; 3rd app. of Captain Marvel; Continued from Marvel Super-Heroes #13; With the Sentry rampaging across the Cape, Captain Mar-Vell decides that the Sentry's rampage would jeopardize his mission to learn all he can about the human race, and suspects that the Sentry's revival is due to Yon-Rogg's tampering; As Captain Mar-Vell (whose name is believed to be "Captain Marvel" to those at the Cape) protects the base (and more specifically security officer Carol Danvers) from the Sentry's rampage, aboard the Kree ship above Earth, Una tries to free herself; Unable to do so, she settles for listening to the reports given by her robot, which is linked into the battle computers; While this is occurring, the landlord at the hotel Mar-Vell is staying at, suspicious that Mar-Vell may be a foreign spy, snoops around Mar-Vell's room for proof; Finding Mar-Vell's carrying case, he sets off a device inside. 36 pgs., full color. First appearance of the new Captain Marvel in "Behind The Mask Of Zo!", script by Archie Goodwin, pencils by Don Heck, inks by Syd Shores; Taken prisoner by the followers of Tam-Bor, Mar-Vell burst free and attempts to destroy the magnetic device which threatens the universe; When Ronan the Accuser tries to stop Mar-Vell, however Ronan fails and Mar-Vell succeeds in destroying the magnetic device inside Tam-Bor; Before Ronan can kill Mar-Vell in combat, the Supreme Sentry arrives and banishes Ronan. While on Earth, Carol Danvers awakens in a hospital and flees FBI agents come to question her about Walter Lawson The Supreme Sentry then transports Mar-Vell to the planet Hala and brings him before the Supreme Intelligence; The Surpeme Intelligence tells Mar-Vell that he was being manipulated, and that Zo was really Zarek who was working with the Ronan the Accuser to try use Mar-Vell as a tool to overthrow the Kree empire and take over for themselves; When Zarek tries to kill the Supreme Intelligence with a Negatron Sphere, Mar-Vell shields the blast with his body and miraculously survives. 36 pgs., full color. First full appearance of the new Captain Marvel in "And a Child Shall Lead You!", script by Roy Thomas, pencils by Gil Kane, inks by Dan Adkins; Trapped in the Negative Zone, Mar-Vell is told by the Supreme Intelligence that he is trapped in this realm due to his blind quest for revenge against Yon-Rogg; However, he offers Mar-Vell a way to potentially free himself and directs his mind towards Earth and to the plight of young Rick Jones, who had just been rejected by his partner Captain America; (Unknown to Rick, Cap had forcefully switched bodies with the Red Skull.); He follows Rick as he returned to Avengers Mansion one last time to collect his things and start hitting the road again; When Jones gets close to an ancient Kree station which contains the Nega Bands, Mar-Vell conjures up an image of Captain America to lure Rick Jones to the bands; There Mar-Vell contacts Jones and explains his plight and that the Bands would allow them to temporarily switch places; Given the opportunity to become a super-hero, Rick accepts and puts on the Nega Bands; Clashing them together he and Mar-Vell change places.
