Screen Book was a monthly published American magazine that ran from July,1928 to February, 1940, and was centered around the golden-age of Hollywood. In addition to celebrity gossip, it also included a fair amount of exclusive behind-the-scenes content as well as movie reviews, latest fashions, make up tips, and slice-of-life human interest stories that were usually written by, or about a specific celebrity of the time. Vintage monthly published magazine with a focus on the film industry as a whole. First published in November of 1930, publication continued through the late 1970s. Priding itself as a source for exclusive behind the scenes stories about filmmaking, Silver Screen also contained a fair amount of articles about celebrities, their relationships, the latest in fashion, and film reviews. The Skipper # 472 - Sept. 16th 1939. Published in Britain by D.C. Thompson & Co. Ltd. These war time magazines feature action, adventure, Sci-Fi, and pulp stories. This issue features the Iron Men of the Sea in the exciting tale "The Race for the Treasure of the Iron Men" and other stories. Text with B&W illustrations, 28 pages, newsprint, 8.5-in. x 12-in. Not a comic book.
