Tuffy Tooth and the Cavity Fighters Club Rescue Sally from Cavity Land is an educational giveaway comic book distributed in 1969 by Colgate-Palmolive. The story features Tuffy, a tooth, who rescues his friend Sally from Cavity Land with the help of a talking toothbrush, tube of toothpaste and some dental instruments collectively known as the Cavity Fighters Club. Cavity Land is filled with the sounds of "toothaches waiting to happen." Tuffy and his team slip past a decay germ patrol and locate Sally in a castle. The setting suggests something out of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine (a likely influence for the art). After helping Sally escape, the heroes are attacked by germs, but the tube of toothpaste and toothbrush strike. In the end, Sally discovers it was all a dream, but one that will help here care for her teeth in the future. 16 pages, full color, standard comic book dimension, all newsprint., no cover price.
