Starting in 1930, the Walt Disney Company sent out Christmas cards to important individuals in the motion picture industry and internally to Disney staff. For 1935, the studio artists created a booklet featuring Mickey Mouse, Horace Horsecollar, Goofy, Clara Cluck, Donald Duck, Pluto, Clarabelle Cow, Minnie Mouse and the three little pigs and the big bad wolf. Each interior page features an illustration of a character with a four-line poem expanding on the image. Lushly illustrated and printed, this is extremely scarce because of its very limited target audience. 9-in. x 7 1/4-in., 8 total pages, full color.

Published 1935 by Tijuana Bible. This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.
"Wash Tubbs and Easy in Captured" - This item commonly known as a Tijuana Bible; most were published ca. 1920s-1940s. The artists, writers, and publishers of these booklets are generally unknown. Most 8-Pagers are humorous takes on newspaper comic strip characters, movie stars, and political figures of the time, usually in sexually explicit situations, and invariably produced without permission or respect for copyright. These are timeless pieces of American comic sub-culture and are often considered the precursor to the underground comics created by the likes of Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton. Due to the circumstances in which these items were originally created, it is virtually impossible to determine edition and printing, although modern era reprints are usually easily identifiable. We will note these differences to the best of our ability. Not available for international sale. You must be 18 or older to order this item. 3.5-in x 2.5-in, 12 pages, B&W.
