In 1815, Napoleon escaped from exile on the island of Elba and regained his position as Emperor of France. This panicked the countries of Europe. They feared he would again attempt to conquer them. On June 18, Napoleon's army met the English and the Prussians for the decisive battle at Waterloo. When it was over, 50,000 men had perished. Cover price $0.25.
