"Defeat the Dragon Curse...or Die!", script by Mike Friedrich, art by Bill Draut; When Dr. 13 and Marie Leeds visit their friends Harry and Rosemary in San Francisco during the Chinese New Year, they find that their friends have been killed; When the Phantom Stranger appears, he suggests that it is the curse of Ching Hi Fu; The Phantom Stranger works to capture the culprit, a man worshiping Ching Hi Fu, who has been trying to destroy modern buildings which he believes are an effrontery to his Chinese heritage. "The Curse of Shaft Seven!", script by Robert Kanigher, art by Jim Aparo; Dr. Thirteen tells of a case where he was hired to investigate a haunted mine shaft, that has been terrorized by a glowing skeleton, following the death of minder Abel Krone; After investigating the situation, Thirteen learns that the "ghost" is really Abel Krone's twin brother. "Journey to the Tomb of the Ice Giants!", script by Denny O'Neil, art by Jim Aparo; Terrence Thirteen and his wife Maria are asked to come up and investigate sightings of ice giants in the north on behalf of the Muttson Oil Company when their owner is frozen in a chunk of ice; The phenomenon also brings out the Phantom Stranger; While Terrance and his wife are exploring outside, they come across a giant sword; They are then attacked by an Ice Giant, who knocks Terrance out; The Phantom Stranger arrives to save them, but he encounters Tala, who has come to witness the Giants' insurgence; As it turns out the Ice Giants are an ancient civilization that has been living in hiding, and they intend to come out of hiding and take over the surface world. 36 pgs., full color.
