Stories, art and cover by Chester Gould. Pioneering comics publisher David McKay's Feature Book was the first US comic book to devote complete issues to a single character. This issue reprinted Dick Tracy Feature Book (1937) #0, which in turn reprinted classic Dick Tracy comic strips from 1934. Temporarily deputized as a federal agent, Tracy tracks Boris Arson across the country when the criminal genius plans to rob six safes in six different states, all at the same time. But the criminal has a knack for escape, and leads Tracy and Pat Patton on a merry chase with the help of cronies like Cutie Diamond and his own sister, Zora Arson. 9-in. x 12-in., 96 pages, B&W.
