Captured in the lost city of Opar, Tarzan meets high priestess La for the first time, as she prepares him for human sacrifice, in an adaptation of The Return of Tarzan with art by Rex Maxon. Billy Make Believe discovers that mischievous bear cub has been causing all the trouble. Known as Farm & Fireside until February 1930, the title was changed to The Country Home to compete with Better Homes and Gardens, and was aimed at families living the farm life in America by offering articles on horticulture, harvest, beef production and anything else needed to run a successful farm. 8.5" x 11.5", B&W with some color illustrations. Caveman Alley Oop gets a glimpse of the Royal Moovian Circus. The Wogglebug tells his story to Tip and friends, in a comics adaptation of The Marvelous Land of Oz featuring art by Walt Spouse.
