The long-running vehicle for Disney character comics featured early work by Carl Barks, the legendary Good Duck Artist. In a classic Floyd Gottfredson story from the Mickey Mouse comic strip, Mickey is asked to stand in for his lookalike, the irresponsible King of Medioka. In another Gottfredson story, Mickey is a secret agent seeking stolen plans. Donald hits everything but the nail.
