Professional Glamour Girl (1946 Digest) Reprint Edition 1

This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

Phoenix Press Reprint Edition, published by Knickerbocker Publications. Written by Gail Jordan. Carlotta Lorraine, head of her own expensive and exclusive cosmetics business, had started as a poor girl and won her success the hard way. And her philosophy carried over when a desirable man was her goal; in order to win him Carlotta was willing to pay him, sleep with him, or slit her rivals throat. In this case, her rival was her secretary, pretty young Denise Thane. And Denise had the weapons of a "nice girl" with which to fight for the affection of Gary Owen, whom Carlotta had lured into her parlor by giving him a job. Softcover Digest, 5" x 7", 128 pages, B&W, text only. Cover price $0.25.

  • Issue #GREENHORNET27
Rags Rabbit (1945) Variant Interior GREENHORNET27
    Published 1946 by Harvey.

This item is not in stock at MyComicShop. If you use the "Add to want list" tab to add this issue to your want list, we will email you when it becomes available.

An unnumbered issue of Rags Rabbit that contains Green Hornet Comics #27 on the inside. NOTE: the outer wrap of the comic is gone and story starts on page 3.
We think this is probably a case similar to Red Circle Comics #4 where the publisher re-covered old leftover stock attempting to get them sold. Interestingly, this cover includes the same art as another comic that appeared in 1946, which happens to be Nutty Comics #5 (the 1st appearance of Rags Rabbit). Perhaps Harvey once had plans to launch Rags Rabbit in his own title and printed this cover, before scrapping the idea and introducing him in Nutty Comics #5. Your guess is as good as ours.
The interior covers are blank and the back cover has an in-house had for Harvey Publications. Further interior variants may exist. Cover price $0.10.

Apparently, this book was originally designed to advertise the kinds of views that one might find in this region of Germany in order to drum up interest for the 1940 winter Olympics, which never occurred due to the outbreak of the war. Army, Authorization No. 8734". 12.5" x 9.5", 68 pages of copper etching photo plates showing mountains, ski resorts, and more, B&W.
