#614, 1954, 10c. Walt Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Comic book adaptation of the Disney movie version of the classic Jules Verne story. No ads in comic. Entire issue is comic story from first page to back cover. Inside front cover features photos from the movie. Note that the photo of Captain Nemo battling the giant squid is not the movie version. This photo is from an early version of the battle with the squid but Walt Disney and the film's director thought the scene looked fake. So a better squid was made and the scene was redone. 36 pages, full color. Cover price $0.10.
