    Star Studded 16 - November 1969 This is the first issue titled just "Star Studded" - no "Comics" in the title. Format: Offset/Lithograph process Wrap-around binding with staples in center. Original price was 75 cents Color front cover by Howard Keltner features Dr. Weird and back cover is by Jim Sullivan "Let's Talk It Over!" column announces that Star-Studded Comics has a new publisher, Joe Bob Williams. Says that the Texas Trio are still the editors but Williams will handle all of the "paper work." Letters from Peter Jaksa, Don Ensign, Charles Schreck, Richard "Grass" Green, Ronn Foss, Jon Wilmunen, and Richard Kyle. Issue also features John Ryan's "Bidgee" column which tells of comic related news from Australia. This column also appeared in issues 11 and 13. In this issue, "Bidgee" tells about artist Stanley Pitt and reprints three pages of his "Silver Star" strip. Issue has two pages of photos from the Southwestern Con 1969, a comic convention held in Texas, and a four page portfolio with artwork by Keith Fukumitsu, Dave Cockrum, Gary Kato, and Mike Chadwell. Original price was $1 - price increase of 25 cents from last issue. First issue with a full color painted cover. The cover is by Jerry Mayes. Back cover by Sam Grainger features the Warrior of Llarn. "Let's Talk It Over!" has letters from Rick Manugian, Billy Leavell, Harry Warner Jr. Issue also has "Behind the Swords," in which "prominent sword and sorcery authors...share their thoughts on the 'hows and whys'" of their sword and sorcery creations. This issue features Gardner F. Fox discussing Kothar the Mighty and John Jakes discussing 'Dark Pilgrimage.' Stories:"The Knight and the Barbarian!" Comic story with script and art by Alan Weiss "Warrior of Llarn" A comic adaptation of Gardner F. Fox's novel "Warrior of Llarn" with script by Roy Thomas and art by Sam Grainger.     Star-Studded 18 - Summer 1972(LAST ISSUE) Issue titled just "Star Studded" - no "Comics" in the title. Format: offset lithograph process Original price was 75 cents. Price drop by 25 cents as compared to last issue. Only issue in which the cover is NOT in color. Cover and the pages in the center of the book are on a light-blue colored paper. Front cover is by Steve Fritz and back cover is by Raymond B. W. Wong This is the final issue of Star-Studded Comics. It was printed on newsprint paper and bound with glue instead of staples. "Let's Talk It Over!" column has letters from Gardner F. Fox, Al Christensen, Harry Warner Jr., Bill Schelly, and Kent Russell. Column also notes that Jim Starlin and Dave Cockrum, who have work in this issue and previous issues, recently became professionals "for the comic publishers in NYC." Also notes that Dr. Weird now has his own comic and that issues one and two are available for 35 cents each. There is a full page ad for issue number two in this issue.
