Kane's famous attempt to break comics out of their "kids" label and into the adult market, inspired by Warren Magazine's success with no Comics Code. Kane uses text captions for each panel with a limited amount of word balloons using a font with both upper and lower cases to impart more of an adult feel. He crafted a story of no-holds-barred violence, secret agents and a massive conspiracy by a mad general named Simon Mace. It even has a cameo by President Lyndon Johnson.
