Story and art by Mike Mignola.
See Mike Mignola's art as you never have before-presented in IDW's Artisan Edition format!
Mike Mignola is one of the preeminent comic creators of the past several decades. His career was already firmly established with his outstanding work on characters like Batman, Wolverine, and a myriad of beautiful covers... and then came Hellboy. Mignola's iconic creation struck a chord with fans from the very start and has not abated in the years since the character's debut.
This Artisan Edition features the first five issues of Hellboy in Hell as well as a wealth of historical material: the first three Hellboy stories-the two initial four-pagers that introduced the character and the ten-page story from John Byrne's Nextmen #21 - plus The Corpse, and two other tales selected by Mignola for inclusion.
An Artisan Edition endeavors to mimic as closely as possible the experience of viewing the artist's original art. Nearly every page presented within has been scanned in color, allowing the reader the ability to see the work as never before. Ink gradients, corrections, margin notes, and more-all the subtle nuances that make original art unique, are clearly visible.

Krazy Little Comics (1967 Topps): Badman is one of sixteen parody mini-comics originally produced as test market items in 1967, by the Topps Chewing Gum Company. They did not see full national distribution. All were written by Roy Thomas and feature Wally Wood cover and interior art. These minis spoof not only Marvel and DC super-heroes, but other comic characters as well, like the Phantom, Prince Valiant, and Tarzan. These possibly predate, or are at least contemporaneous with, Not Brand Ecch! #1 (08/1967), and are among the rarest of the Merry Marvel Marching Society era items. Full color, 2.5-in. x 3.5-in., no cover price, 8 pages.

Written by Marc Tyler Nobleman. Art and cover by Ty Templeton.
Every Batman story is marked with the words "Batman created by Bob Kane." But that isn't the whole truth.
A struggling writer named Bill Finger was involved from the beginning. Bill helped invent Batman, from concept to costume to character. He dreamed up Batman's haunting origins and his colorful nemeses. Despite his brilliance, Bill worked in obscurity. It was only after his death that fans went to bat for Bill, calling for acknowledgment that he was the co-creator of Batman.
Based on original research, Bill the Boy Wonder is the first-ever book about the unsung man behind the Dark Knight.
Hardcover, 8-in. x 11-in., 48 pages, Text (with full color illustrations and photos).
NOTE: "This is an absolute must read for any comic book fan, writer, and artist. Afterwards, seek out the documentary Batman and Bill. Here, the heartbreaking story of Bill Finger finally gets a much deserved happy ending." - Odinson, mycomicshop.com Archivist

1st printing. Written by Marc Tyler Nobleman. Art by Ross MacDonald. Celebrating Superman's 70th Anniversary! Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two misfit teens in Depression-era Cleveland, were more like Clark Kent - meek, mild, and myopic - than his secret identity, Superman. Both boys escaped into the worlds of science fiction and pulp magazine adventure tales, and in 1934, created a superhero who was everything they were not - Superman! It was four more years before they convinced a publisher to take a chance on their Man of Steel in a new format - the comic book! Boys of Steel is the first-ever picture book about how these two unsung heroes created the first and greatest superhero of all time! Hardcover, 9-in. x 10 1/2-in., 36 pages, full color. Cover price $16.99.
